Compilation of common yoga postures I teach my patients in the clinic .
PLEASE NOTE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO LEARN YOGA UNDER SUPERVISION OF A QUALIFIED TEACHER. CORRECT ALIGNMENT AND BREATHING TECHNIQUES ARE IMPORTANT FOR SAFE AND EFFECTIVE PRACTICE OF YOGA.
Information on this website if for educational purposes only.
Here is a link to the yoga studio where I learnt yoga.
Following links are for postures I teach my patients usually in the clinic. These postures are reminders of what we practiced in the clinic. Also always be mindful and respect any limitations the body might be having, which of course can change on different days. Do not push yourself into any posture that does not feel comfortable for the body.
None of the postures are approved in any chronic medical conditions like high BP, heart disease, and during pregnancy unless discussed with your doctor and your yoga teacher.
Rule of yoga is Sthiram Sukham Asanam, which means your posture should be steady, comfortable and connected with relaxed breathing.
